ND Creative Enterprise Office Building is
situated in Cuigezhuang, Chaoyang District, which is only 20 minutes¡¯ drive
from Beijing Capital International Airport. The large-scale urban plan where
the building site locates has an important north-south oriented greenbelt that
right points to the centre of the site. To extend this greenbelt, the scheme
divides the building into four north-south oriented building blocks so that the
greenbelt runs throughout the building, bringing more landscape views and
daylight into the office space. An east-west oriented two-storey-high corridor is
introduced to enhance the connection among the four building blocks and create three
public reception spaces for exhibitions, releases and speeches. The six ground
gardens in between the building blocks, together with the green roof of the
corridor and the green terraces on the sixth floor, provide an exclusive view
for each of the office units. The standard floor features a perimeter core and
creates a large, open space so that office units can be flexibly defined to
cater for the continuously changing office patterns in future. The curtain wall
of the buildings features a modular system that facilitates production and
installation of curtain walls in terms of economy, construction cycle and
quality control.
